Chief Physician and CEO

Dr. med. Andrea Jungaberle works as the Chief Physician for Somatic Medicine and CEO in the OVID Clinic Berlin. She has accumulated extensive experience across various fields during her 20-year clinical career. Following her medical studies in Heidelberg and the completion of her doctorate in psychosomatics at ZI Mannheim, she spent five years in general and trauma surgery. From 2021 to 2024, she served as a study physician and therapist in the EPIsoDE study, where a total of 144 depressive participants were treated with psilocybin at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim and the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Charitè Campus Mitte in Berlin.

Since February 2021, she has been the medical director of the OVID Practice Berlin, and since October 2023, she has shared the management and clinical leadership of the OVID Clinic Berlin with Prof. Gerhard Gründer.

Since 2020, she has been completing additional training to become a medical psychotherapist (with a focus on behavioral therapy), which she will complete in the summer of 2024.

In 2016, she co-founded the partner organization MIND Foundation, a non-profit organization for the promotion of psychedelic research and education, and is among other things the author of the book "Yoga, Tee, LSD - Bewussteinsveränderung in Wissenschaft und Alltag" as well as a seminar leader on the integration of psychedelic experiences.
